Intro to Game Development

A short workshop to cover the basics of creating your own 3D computer games and simulations. We'll learn the basics of all the tools required - from the engine to coding to 3D modelling.

  • A laptop running Windows or OS X (Unity 3D doesn't run under Linux, but Blender does)
  • A basic understanding of programming, if you don't yet have this I recommend spending a few hours on:

Duration: 2 hours instruction + 1 hour questions and free time per night

Cost: Free! Bring money if you want to order food.

Date: First workshop was on Thursday 28th November 2013 from 6pm to 9pm

Second workshop was split across two nights:

  • Monday 7th April 2014 from 6pm for Unity
  • Monday 14th April 2014 from 6pm for Blender
